Repair Technician

For the OMRON Robot Services EMEA Team based in our office in Dortmund area, Germany we are looking for a

Repair Technician (f/m/d)

As Repair Technician you will be responsible for providing all robot repairs support in our Robotic Repair Center Europe based in our Dortmund Office. You will be reporting to our Robot Repair Center Manager located in Dortmund.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and analyze problems/issues on all robotic equipment that we receive in our repair center from robot arms to Controllers from mechanical to electronic issues

  • Planning and executing robot repairs in our repair center, including all spare parts, equipment and tools needed to perform your tasks

  • Planning, organizing, and executing seminars/trainings either for our internal OMRON colleagues or customers regarding robot repairs in performed in our repair center within our OMRON branch in Europe or customer location

  • Preparing new robot repair documentation and procedure which can also include updating exiting procedures.

  • Occasionally repair support at the weekend may be required.

  • Preparing information for quotations about robot repairs and reports

  • Entering the repairs in the CRM system or any other software and systems that ORSE uses

  • Consulting customers concerning their repair needs and/or customer satisfaction when needed

  • Reporting quality defects and problems to the appropriate channels for quality control and engineering

  • Activate product registration in the CRM system and corresponding databases for maintaining records of repaired equipment for our customers

  • Supporting OMRON Robot Services EMEA Team

Education, skills, and experience:

  • Further education as technician or Bachelor of Engineering as preferable education

  • Experience in maintenance and repair of robot hardware mechanical and electronics as a preferable aspect; alternatively, a high level Multi skilled engineer is essential in Mechanical and electronics.

  • Experience and knowledge in Electronics fault finding down to component level is a preferable aspect

  • Experience in assembling, disassembling, and testing robotics as a preferable aspect

  • Experience in software programming is an essential requirement, preferably in robotic systems;  alternatively experience in a high-level programming language C+, C++ is essential.

  • Communication skills in order to work with European colleagues or even globally.

  • Very good knowledge of German and English, written and spoken

  • Driving license class B
